Nghe An province is stepping up its efforts in disseminating information about the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
On the afternoon of December 26th, the Subcommittee on Information and Propaganda for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels in Nghe An province for the 2026-2031 term held its first meeting to evaluate the results of tasks performed in the past period and to implement some tasks in the coming period.
Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee - chaired the meeting.

The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and representatives to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026. This is a major political event for the country, taking place in the context of 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi (Renovation) process, during which Vietnam has achieved tremendous and historically significant accomplishments in all areas of social life; at the same time, it continues to face many difficulties and challenges, especially in the process of restructuring and streamlining the state apparatus towards efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Therefore, the Subcommittee agreed on a timeframe for information and propaganda activities starting from December 2025 until after March 15, 2026. This will be divided into three phases: Phase 1: From the end of 2025 to February 1, 2026; Phase 2: From February 2, 2026 to the election day, March 15, 2026; Phase 3: From March 16, 2026 to April 10, 2026.

At the meeting, the Subcommittee members discussed the forms and methods for effective election information and propaganda. Accordingly, they discussed mobilizing all mass media, grassroots information systems, and information and propaganda forces to disseminate information and propaganda related to the election.
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and Head of the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee - requested members to carefully review their functions and tasks to develop a clear and effective propaganda plan, avoiding duplication. Along with that, ensure adherence to directives and guidelines, quality, effectiveness, economy, avoiding ostentation and formality, and suitability to each locality and unit.

Therefore, the aim is to raise awareness of ownership and self-reliance, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for citizens to effectively exercise their rights and obligations in nominating, consulting, selecting, and electing qualified individuals to represent the will and aspirations of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

The Head of the Information and Propaganda Subcommittee also requested that the propaganda work for the election be linked to the implementation of tasks of the province, departments, agencies, localities, and units, as well as the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, the Resolution of the 20th Party Congress of Nghe An province, and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; the socio-economic, national defense and security results; Party building and political system building in 2025; celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026…
