In order to strengthen connections and expand the market for the province's products in China – one of the largest and most promising trading partners – in the last months of the year, the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade proactively implemented and participated in many important trade promotion activities. Through these efforts, the province expanded its consumer market and boosted exports, especially for agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products.

Accordingly, from November 1-7, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Trade Promotion Agency, organized a specialized agricultural trade delegation to the Chinese market, including Shandong, Jiangsu, and Shanghai provinces. During the series of events, the delegation participated in surveys at several factories and science and technology innovation industrial parks in Shandong province; met with Shandong provincial leaders to discuss cooperation; attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-China Special Product Exhibition and the Yellow River-Mekong Exchange Week; engaged in cooperation exchanges between Chinese and Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises; and participated in the Vietnam-China Trade and Investment Promotion Conference.

The delegation also surveyed and worked with agricultural product distributors, importers, and exporters in Jiangsu Province and participated in transactions at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIE) in Shanghai.

At the conferences, several agricultural products from Nghe An province, such as peanuts, cassava oil, and tapioca starch, received attention and information from distributors and key contacts in Shandong province, such as the Black Horse Group, and several trade promotion units in Shandong province.

Continuing its promotional activities in the Chinese market, from November 19-24, 2025, the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade participated in the 25th Vietnam-China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai). The fair is held annually on a rotating basis between Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China), aiming to promote economic, trade, tourism, and investment cooperation between the two countries.

This is an important trade promotion event, attracting a large number of businesses, importers, and partners from both countries.

The 2025 fair, themed “Lao Cai and Yunnan - Connecting and Developing,” will take place at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Center in Lao Cai province, with 500-550 standard booths and approximately 4,000 m² of exhibition space.

Participating in the fair, the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade organized a booth to display and introduce typical products, OCOP products, and agricultural products with export potential, creating conditions for businesses in the province to connect directly with partners and traders from China, especially the Yunnan market and the Southwest region of China.

The Nghe An booth is designed to focus on showcasing characteristic products, OCOP products, and products with export potential, thereby creating opportunities for businesses in the province to connect directly with Chinese partners, exchange information, seek cooperation opportunities, sell products, and expand distribution channels.

Through the trade fair, the Department of Industry and Trade has effectively played its role as a bridge, supporting businesses in promoting their products, understanding market demands, and gradually guiding businesses to improve quality and design to meet the increasingly high demands of the Chinese market.

Affirming the role of the Department of Industry and Trade as the focal point for trade promotion.

At working sessions, trade networking events, and product exhibitions, the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade has actively promoted the image and commercial potential of the province, while also supporting local businesses in accessing partners, understanding market needs, consumer trends, and import regulations from China.

Through these activities, many of Nghe An's key products, such as agricultural products, processed foods, OCOP products, consumer goods, and handicrafts, have been directly introduced to Chinese partners, distributors, and consumers, contributing to increased awareness and market penetration.

Trade promotion activities with the Chinese market in the last months of the year also demonstrate the proactive and positive role of the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade in accompanying businesses and effectively exploiting national and international trade promotion programs.
