Nghe An - a 'golden' destination for investors.

Located on the North-South and East-West Trans-Asian Highway, 300 km from Hanoi, Nghe An possesses a particularly important strategic position, serving as an economic bridge between Northern and North Central Vietnam. It is also the only locality in the country, besides the five centrally-governed cities, that has been designated by the Politburo with a separate resolution to develop into a socio-economic center of North Central Vietnam.

Nghe An province has all five existing modes of transportation.: waterways, roads, air, sea, and rail. The road transport system includes8 vital national highways, including 3 north-south routes (QL1A, QL15 and Ho Chi Minh Highway); and 5 east-west routes connecting with the Lao economy (QL7, QL46, QL48, QL48B, 48C).

The province is also accelerating key transportation infrastructure projects. In March 2021, the 5.2 km long Cua Hoi Bridge, with a total investment of 950 billion VND, connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, was inaugurated; the Ninh Binh - Bai Vot expressway project is expected to open in 2022. The Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard, with a total investment of 1,411 billion VND, has been opened to traffic along its entire length. The Nghi Son - Cua Lo coastal road project was started in July 2020.

With its long coastline, Nghe An has many advantages in developing its seaport system. Nghe An currently has 7 seaports, including:Cua Lo PortIt is a large-scale commercial port with a wharf length of over 3 km, along with many advanced handling equipment, a modern warehousing system, and the transportation of goods to provinces and cities nationwide and all over the world.

The railway system spans 94 km, stretching from North to South. Within this,Vinh Railway StationIt is rated as a Class 1 station, and the third largest passenger and transport station in the country.

With the determination to become the most dynamic development area in the North Central region.Over the years, Nghe An has continuously made strong breakthroughs and achieved many important accomplishments.

Along with Vietnam's open-door policy and international economic integration, Nghe An province has continued to develop strongly and comprehensively in recent years, focusing on building industrial parks. Industrial parks in Nghe An include: Bac Vinh, Song Dinh, Nam Cam, Tri Le, Nghia Dan, Tan Ky, Dong Hoi, Tho Loc, and Hoang Mai I. The WHA Hemaraj 1 industrial park project has been underway since 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2023.

In 2020, investment capital in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks of Nghe An province reached over 14,289 billion VND, an increase of 75.8% compared to the same period. This result is a testament to efforts to improve the investment environment; leveraging domestic resources and maximizing the use of external resources.
