MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism is currently a major source of revenue for the tourism industry in many countries around the world, most notably Singapore in Southeast Asia, followed by Thailand. In Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and more recently Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) are considered major MICE tourism centers.

Although lagging behind the aforementioned tourist centers, in recent years Nghe An has been chosen by many organizations and businesses to host conferences, seminars, and product exhibitions. Most recently, the seminar "Professor Ta Quang Buu and his homeland" attracted over 100 delegates, including many scientists from research institutes in Hanoi.

The National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education is expected to hold the "Vietnam Tourism - Recovery and Development in the New Context" conference in Vinh City (Nghe An province) in early December. The conference program will include discussions on solutions for tourism recovery and development, as well as tours and experiences at several historical sites, scenic spots, and tourist destinations in Nghe An.

The workshop is expected to have approximately 250 delegates attending, including leaders of the National Assembly and the Government; the Chairman of the Committee on Culture and Education; the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and its Committees; members of the Committee on Culture and Education; representatives of Party and Government agencies, central ministries and departments, some localities, and representatives of some international organizations, tourism experts, and tourism businesses…
