(Baonghean.vn) - A number of multi-level marketing companies in Nghe An province have violated the law and have been dealt with. Authorities and local agencies are actively raising awareness among the public to combat the exploitation of multi-level marketing schemes.

In response to the complex situation surrounding illegal multi-level marketing schemes, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department recently issued document No. 59/CV-DVTU regarding the campaign to combat multi-level marketing activities, addressed to relevant agencies…

The official document stated: “In our country in general, and Nghe An province in particular, functional agencies have discovered many multi-level marketing organizations and individuals engaging in illegal activities. Criminals often use methods and tactics such as: impersonating reputable organizations and individuals, providing false information, promising large benefits and quick profits to entice others to participate. From there, they mobilize large amounts of financial resources from the people…”

The Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department has specifically named several companies and businesses that engaged in illegal multi-level marketing activities and have been dealt with.

Viet Lien Ket Company impersonated an enterprise of the Ministry of National Defense; within more than a year, it expanded its network to over 27 provinces and cities nationwide, defrauding more than 60,000 victims of up to 1,900 billion VND.

The Vietnam Consumer Alliance Joint Stock Company, Nghe An branch (headquartered at 21-23 Le Nin Avenue, Vinh City), used deceptive tactics, promising profits to collect 1.8 billion VND from residents of Thanh Son border commune, Thanh Chuong district.

Amway Vietnam International Technology and Development Joint Stock Company, located at 18 An Duong Vuong Street, Vinh City, failed to submit periodic reports as required.

Nhat Duong Company Limited, a subsidiary of Aloe Vera Trading Company Limited, sells dietary supplements with expired expiration dates.

Diamond Holiday Vietnam Trading Joint Stock Company exploited multi-level marketing to commit fraud; the "Heart of Vietnam" program of the Center for Supporting the Poor showed many signs of exploiting fundraising for fraudulent purposes.

To proactively prevent and combat multi-level marketing activities that disrupt public order and cause significant economic damage to many individuals and families, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department requests the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, the Party Committee of Provincial Enterprises; the Mass Mobilization Departments of districts, cities, and towns; the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Military Command... to direct their subordinate units to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to oppose multi-level marketing activities in order to ensure public order and security in the area.
