This is the wedding of Nguyen Canh Thin (28 years old) and Ngo Thi Hoa (26 years old) in Lien Son hamlet, Thanh Hung commune (Thanh Chuong district). The groom runs a wedding service business, while the bride is Hoang Thi Loan, a factory worker at a knitting factory. They have known each other since childhood, have been in love for almost a year, and decided to hold their wedding on October 6th.

Because the groom's and bride's families live in the same neighborhood, less than 300 meters apart, they didn't want to use a car for the wedding procession. Thìn explained that initially, they only considered a rickshaw for the wedding, but as the wedding day approached, they were too busy with work to contact a suitable vehicle in Vinh. So, he and a friend went to Đô Lương town to see if there were any vehicles available for the wedding procession.
During their search, the couple came up with the idea of using a tandem bicycle for the wedding procession and decided to rent one from a shop. The groom, Thìn, and his friend kept the idea of using a bicycle for the wedding procession a secret until the last minute.

On the wedding day, the groom drove his car to Do Luong to pick up bicycles and parked them in a row in front of the bride's house, much to the surprise of many. The wedding procession, originally planned to circle the village, had to adhere to the schedule and route set by the elders, so instead of circling, the procession went straight from the bride's house to the groom's house.
For the first time in Thanh Hung commune, a wedding procession using tandem bicycles was unique and unusual, attracting a large crowd of villagers from all the surrounding hamlets who came out to watch and cheer enthusiastically.

Hoa couldn't hide her emotions: "That day, sitting in the wedding car, I also intended to steer to balance things, but wearing a wedding dress was inconvenient, so only my husband drove. He wasn't used to it either, so the car wasn't going very straight. As the bride in a wedding procession on bicycles, I felt very happy because everyone around me was so enthusiastic. If I had been in a car, I probably wouldn't have had that feeling."
A resident of Lien Son hamlet who was present at the wedding of Thin and Hoa said: "For a long time, throughout the commune and district, people usually have wedding processions in cars, but this wedding had a procession of the bride on bicycles, which was unusual and very joyful."
