Nghe An exchanges waste paper for green trees.

(Baonghean.vn) - From March 25-26, at Vinh City Central Park, the Institute of Oriental Literature Research, in collaboration with the Nghe An Green Journey, organized a "paper for trees" program - an activity in response to Earth Hour 2017.

The "Paper for Trees" program aims to promote energy conservation, reduce carbon dioxide emissions that cause the greenhouse effect, and raise public awareness of the importance of planting trees for life. Based on this, it seeks to attract community attention to the importance of the environment.

On the morning of March 25th, the program received 700 kg of paper and books from residents in exchange for green plants. It is understood that the green plants used in the book exchange were purchased by the Nghe An Green Journey organization using funds accumulated over time.

According to the program, the books and paper exchanged will be sorted and reused for different purposes: Textbooks, science books, and study materials will be kept and used to create libraries for students to borrow; storybooks will be donated to underprivileged students. Single-sided white paper will be separated for continued use, and waste paper will be sent to recycling facilities.
