(Baonghean.vn) - This is just one of many motorbike convoys on their way from southern provinces back to their hometowns to avoid the epidemic.

On the afternoon of October 4th, a convoy of approximately 300 motorbikes from southern provinces lined up to reach Ben Thuy 2 Bridge. Authorities then had to direct the convoy onto the road along Quyet Mountain for easier control and to avoid congestion on National Highway 1A. All of these people were workers from provinces such as Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong returning home to escape the pandemic. Photo: Tien Hung
Authorities, including dozens of traffic police and transport inspectors, were present to conduct inspections. The photo shows a traffic police officer standing at a distance, directing citizens during a break while waiting to continue their journey. Photo: Tien Hung

A Hmong couple from Binh Duong province, returning to Dien Bien, took the opportunity to eat sticky rice distributed by the authorities. According to the reporter's observations, more than half of these laborers are from northern provinces, primarily from the Hmong ethnic group. Photo: Tien Hung
The dilapidated motorbike has just completed a journey of over 1,000 km. This is just one of the first groups returning home by motorbike this time. It is expected that in the coming days, thousands more people will travel home via the Ben Thuy 2 bridge, including many workers from Nghe An province. Photo: Tien Hung
After resting and eating for about an hour, these citizens continued their journey. Among them, those from outside the province will be escorted by traffic police vehicles along National Highway 1A to the end of Nghe An province, then handed over to the authorities in Thanh Hoa province. Citizens from within the province will be escorted by traffic police along the Lam River embankment to the second campus of Vinh University to be handed over to the Provincial Military Command for centralized quarantine as per regulations.
