According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the four-day New Year's holiday in 2026 (January 1-4), the tourism industry in Nghe An province recorded a strong recovery, with total revenue from tourism services reaching nearly 885 billion VND and approximately 350,000 domestic and international visitors coming to visit and relax. Of these, about 150,000 visitors stayed at service establishments in the province.
Many prominent destinations in the province, such as the community-based tourism villages in Western Nghe An (Nua village, Khe Ran village, Hoa Tien village, Muong Long Eco, Muong Ham village, Muong Dan village), attract a large number of visitors. Ecotourism areas like Do Luong Legend Camping & Resort, Hon Mat Ecotourism and Hotel Area, and HDT Ecotourism Area are also popular choices.
Cultural and historical sites such as Ong Hoang Muoi Temple, Kim Lien Historical Site, Chung Son Temple, Corn Temple, Km0 National Special Monument, and Truong Bon Historical Site also saw a significant increase in visitor numbers.

In particular, the Management Board of the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site reported that during the New Year holiday, the site welcomed 1,031 groups with more than 10,000 visitors, including 16 international groups from Japan, the United States, China, South Korea, and other countries.
To ensure good service for tourists, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed local authorities, tourism site managers, and service businesses to strengthen safety, service, and guidance efforts.
