Nghe An ranked 6th in the National Traditional Martial Arts Championship
(Baonghean.vn) - With 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 5 bronze medals, the host team only ranked 6th nationwide.
On August 14, after 5 days of exciting competition, the 26th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship ended. Attending the closing ceremony were representatives of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province.

On the final day of competition, the 18 finals of 18 weight categories (10 for men and 8 for women) took place dramatically. Notably, in the 90kg weight category, athlete Vi Van Manh (26 years old, Tuong Duong district) excellently surpassed Nguyen Huu Toan of Hanoi to win the Gold medal.
Meanwhile, in the women's 60-weight category, Nghe An athlete Nguyen Thi Thuyet also won against Hung Yen's Doan Thi Nhuan to stand on the top podium. In addition to these two medals, Nghe An also won a gold medal in the martial arts category.

At the end of the tournament, the HCM City delegation ranked first with 12 gold medals and 6 silver medals. The Binh Dinh delegation ranked second with 11 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. Above the Nghe An delegation were Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa and the People's Public Security delegation. Meanwhile, Lao Cai was the only delegation that did not win any medals, standing in last place.
