Nghe An ranked 6th in the National Traditional Martial Arts Championship.
(Baonghean.vn) - With 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 5 bronze medals, the host team only ranked 6th nationwide.
On August 14th, after five days of intense competition, the 26th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship concluded. Attending the closing ceremony were representatives from the General Department of Physical Education and Sports (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); and leaders from the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province.

On the final day of competition, 18 finals across 18 weight categories (10 men's and 8 women's) were thrilling. In particular, in the 90kg weight category, athlete Vi Van Manh (26 years old, Tuong Duong district) brilliantly defeated Nguyen Huu Toan from Hanoi to win the gold medal.
Meanwhile, in the women's 60kg category, Nguyen Thi Thuyet from Nghe An also defeated Doan Thi Nhuan from Hung Yen to take the top spot. In addition to these two medals, the Nghe An team also won a gold medal in the martial arts category.

At the end of the tournament, the Ho Chi Minh City team finished first with 12 gold medals and 6 silver medals. The Binh Dinh team came second with 11 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. Above the Nghe An team were Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, and the People's Police team. Meanwhile, Lao Cai was the only team that did not win any medals, finishing in last place.
