Nghe An was given an additional 500,000 doses of vaccine to pay for the second dose.

On the morning of November 9, Mr. Tran Minh Tue - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that up to now, Nghe An has injected more than 1.42 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. On November 8, the whole province injected more than 36,000 doses of vaccine.

Meanwhile, Nghe An province has just received more than 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, bringing the total number of doses given to nearly 2 million. "These vaccines will be used for the second dose in the coming days," Mr. Tue added.

Currently, Nghe An province has only more than 198,000 people who have been fully vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, reaching a rate of 8% compared to the population aged 18 and over and 6% of the total population of the province. Together with Thanh Hoa, these are the 2 provinces with the lowest rate of people fully vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccine in the country.

To date, 61.4 million people nationwide have been vaccinated against Covid-19, of which nearly 30 million have received two doses. Many localities have a high rate of two doses such as Ho Chi Minh City 81%, Hanoi over 70%, Dong Nai nearly 80%, Binh Duong over 71%, Quang Ninh 87%.... Many localities have even started vaccinating children against Covid-19.
