Nghe An province has been allocated an additional 500,000 doses of vaccine for the second round of vaccinations.

On the morning of November 9th, Mr. Tran Minh Tue, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Health, stated that Nghe An has administered over 1.42 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to date. On November 8th alone, the province administered over 36,000 doses.

Meanwhile, Nghe An province has just received more than 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Moderna vaccines, bringing the total number of doses provided to nearly 2 million. "These vaccines will be used to deliver the second dose in the coming days," Mr. Tue added.

Currently, only over 198,000 people in Nghe An province have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, representing 8% of the population aged 18 and over and 6% of the total provincial population. Along with Thanh Hoa, these are the two provinces with the lowest rates of people receiving both doses of the vaccine nationwide.

To date, 61.4 million people nationwide have been vaccinated against Covid-19, of which nearly 30 million have received both doses. Many localities have high rates of receiving both doses, such as Ho Chi Minh City (81%), Hanoi (over 70%), Dong Nai (nearly 80%), Binh Duong (over 71%), and Quang Ninh (87%). Many localities have even started vaccinating children against Covid-19.
