Nghe An: Nearly half a ton of explosives collapses numerous illegal gold mines.

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to eliminate illegal gold mining sites, on the morning of March 9th, a joint inter-agency team from the mountainous district of Tuong Duong deployed nearly half a ton of explosives to collapse a series of unauthorized, illegal gold mines in San village, Huu Khuong commune.

Tuong Duong district mobilized more than 50 people to dismantle and eliminate illegal gold mining sites in San village, including military, police, and local militia forces. 400kg of explosives were planted to collapse 12 gold mines in the area. San village is known to be one of the hotspots for alluvial gold mining in Tuong Duong district.

The crackdown on illegal gold mining sites in Tuong Duong district demonstrates the government's more decisive approach to this issue. Furthermore, it aims to deter those engaging in illegal gold mining in the area.
