Nghe An province held a meeting with 110 exemplary religious dignitaries, officials, and followers in 2024.
On the morning of November 25th, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized a meeting to listen to the voices of prominent religious leaders, officials, monks, and followers in 2024.

Comrade Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Father Joseph Phan Van Thang - Vice Chairman of the Catholic Solidarity Committee of the province; and Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Association presided over the conference.
Attending the conference were leaders from the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; representatives from several provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; and 110 prominent religious dignitaries, officials, monks, and followers in the province in 2024.

Contributed over 15.9 billion VND to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
The conference heard a report on the results of the coordinated program between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, and the Provincial Buddhist Association Executive Board in 2024.

Notably, efforts have been made to coordinate propaganda and mobilization efforts among religious leaders, officials, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and all segments of the population to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, State policies and laws, especially regulations on belief and religion, and land laws; to publicize the development of religions in the province; to highlight models and exemplary cases of economic, cultural, and social development, and the "living a good life and upholding moral values" among Catholic and Buddhist communities; to combat negative information, false narratives, and distortions of the Party and State; and to promptly correct violations that affect the honor and prestige of religious leaders, officials, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and the image of Buddhism and Catholicism.

The parties also coordinated the implementation of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; focusing on the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign and implementing Directive No. 21 of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on mobilizing and supporting the construction and repair of houses for the poor and those with difficult housing circumstances in Nghe An province in the period 2023-2025.
In 2024, religious organizations and religious followers contributed over 15.9 billion VND and donated 14,265 square meters of land.2land; demolition of 3,576m²2 boundary wall; clearing of 11,331m of road shoulders.2They contributed 15,560 man-days to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Religious organizations and people of all religions in the province have donated tens of billions of VND to support, build, and renovate houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult circumstances in the province...
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity of Vietnam, and the Provincial Buddhist Association Executive Board coordinate to understand the thoughts, aspirations, opinions, and suggestions of religious leaders, officials, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and the people; and participate in building a strong Party and government.

The conference also heard a presentation from a representative of the Nghe An Department of Natural Resources and Environment on new policies and laws related to religion.
During the conference, several religious leaders, officials, and followers directly participated in discussions and exchanges, raising several suggestions regarding the need for a system to widely solicit public opinion on certain planning; proposing an increase in land allocation limits for affiliated religious organizations and facilities; establishing a provincial-level advisory group to address land-related issues concerning religion; and resolving difficulties and obstacles in issuing land use right certificates to affiliated religious organizations…

Continuing to work together to build a better society.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Truong Thiet Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, highly appreciated the coordination and cooperation of religious organizations in disseminating information and mobilizing religious leaders, officials, monks, and followers to implement socio-economic development tasks, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged the frank and responsible exchanges from religious leaders, officials, and followers; and affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee would compile and submit the information to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies for consideration and resolution.

Comrade Truong Thiet Hung also expressed his wish that the Executive Board of the Provincial Buddhist Association and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee would strengthen more effective coordination with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; and at the same time, continue to work together with Party committees, governments, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels to do a good job of disseminating information and mobilizing religious dignitaries, officials, monks, and followers to comply well with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and local obligations; patriotic emulation movements, and campaigns launched and called for by the Fatherland Front at all levels; contributing to building a better society and improving the quality of life for the people.
