Nghe An: Introducing UNESCO's world documentary heritage
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 3, the Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum in collaboration with the Song Lam Heritage and Antiquities Association organized a talk and exchange session with the theme “Phuc Giang School Woodblocks” (18th - 20th century). This is the third set of woodblocks of Vietnam that has just been recognized by UNESCO as a world documentary heritage.
The woodblocks are documents carved on wood blocks quite delicately, with beautiful calligraphy and family crests, copyright stamps containing a lot of information about culture, education, socio-economics, and exchanges between families, including rare and valuable ancient woodblocks, along with some books of the "Four Books and Five Classics" of Confucianism. These woodblocks are kept at Phuc Giang Library (Phuc Giang Library), a famous library throughout the country of the Nguyen Huy family.

In Vietnam, this is a family's book printing woodblock set that is still intact and preserved to this day. The woodblocks have similarities with other woodblock sets, but also have their own features, especially in education, which has a great influence on Vietnam and diplomatic relations in the region. From the 18th to the 20th century, the woodblocks were a valuable textbook set used at Phuc Giang School, which trained over 30 doctors and thousands of village officials and bachelors. Among them were many people from Nghe An such as Doctor Nguyen Trong Duong (Nam Dan), Doctor Pham Nguyen Du (Thanh Chuong)...
