Nghe An: Two brothers tragically drowned.
A tragic drowning incident recently occurred in Nghia Thai commune (Nam Dan district), resulting in the deaths of two students who were brothers from the same family.
According to information from local authorities, at around 4 PM on April 13th, a group of four students from Hong Son hamlet, Nghia Thai commune, went to the lake behind Nam Thai Primary School to play.
While playing in the pond, two children in the group slipped and drowned. The other two, panicked, ran home to call adults for help.
By the time people rushed to the pond, the two children who had drowned had already sunk. About 15 minutes later, their bodies were recovered from the water, but they had already died.
The two victims of the drowning were two brothers: Van Ba BN (12 years old, a 6th grade student) and Van Ba Kh. (7 years old, a 1st grade student).
On the morning of April 14th, the families, relatives, and neighbors of Hong Son hamlet, Nghia Thai commune, held a funeral ceremony for the victims according to local customs.
It is known that the victim's family only has two children.
