Nghe An: Numerous houses have their roofs blown off by tornado.
(Baonghean.vn) - At 3:30 PM on May 14th, rain accompanied by tornadoes occurred in Tam Dinh commune (Tuong Duong district) and Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau district), damaging houses and schools.
Although localized, the tornado caused damage to houses, property, and crops. The villages of Dinh Thang and Dinh Huong were most severely affected, with over 10 houses having their roofs blown off, including one that was completely destroyed. Many trees and crops were also broken or uprooted.

Immediately after the tornado passed, local authorities and residents began working to mitigate the damage.
There are currently no specific statistics on the damage caused by the tornado in Tuong Duong district.

Specifically, the tornado, accompanied by heavy rain, lasted for less than 10 minutes but completely ripped off the roofs of the school's five classrooms, with estimated damages of around 100 million VND. Electronic equipment such as computers and projectors were severely damaged.
On the morning of May 15th, the school held a parent meeting to call for social contributions to mitigate the consequences of the disaster, while simultaneously maintaining teaching and ensuring the curriculum is completed for the students.
