Nghe An: More than 27,000 people returning from epidemic areas are being quarantined and monitored.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch 5976/UBND - NC on strengthening management of citizens returning to Nghe An from epidemic areas.

As of August 15, the whole province has 27,071 people coming from/returning from the current epidemic area being monitored and quarantined. Including 13,880 people in centralized quarantine; 5,918 people in home quarantine; 7,273 people being monitored for health at home.

It is forecasted that in the coming time, the number of people returning from epidemic areas may increase, most of whom are citizens in difficult circumstances and unemployed; in addition, among citizens returning from epidemic areas, there are potential criminals and wanted subjects, which could negatively affect the security and order situation in the area.

According to the content of the document, in order to proactively ensure security and order in the province, strictly manage the number of citizens returning to the locality from epidemic areas; at the same time, create favorable conditions to support citizens to overcome difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic. The Provincial People's Committee requests:

Provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations; People's Committees of districts, towns and cities continue to direct the strict implementation of regulations on epidemic prevention and control in the area; have plans to receive Nghe An citizens returning from epidemic areas (including the number of citizens organized by the Provincial People's Committee to receive them and the number of citizens spontaneously returning to the locality); strictly control and implement necessary support measures for life and health so that people returning from epidemic areas can feel secure in implementing isolation and epidemic prevention and control measures.

According to the document, localities need to strengthen the management of areas, grasp household registration; manage residence; promptly detect and manage cases of citizens returning to Nghe An and organize epidemic prevention measures for the above subjects according to regulations.

In addition, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate with the People's Committees of districts and cities to review and count the number of Nghe An citizens returning from the epidemic area with difficult circumstances and no jobs in need of support. Proactively advise on support policies and create conditions for social security.

This document also clearly states that media units, departments, branches, organizations, and localities proactively carry out communication and propaganda work on making medical declarations on the software system at the epidemic prevention and control checkpoints and declaring information on movement changes on the website:http://suckhoe.dancuquocgia.gov.vn.

In addition, localities need to arrange means and human resources to receive citizens returning from epidemic areas to their localities and implement epidemic prevention and control measures for citizens, especially quarantine requirements and medical monitoring for citizens returning from epidemic areas to the community.

This document also requests the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities and towns to direct the Inter-sectoral Control Points (if any) to strengthen the control of people and vehicles entering and leaving the province.
