(Baonghean.vn) - Up to this point, high schools in Nghe An province have basically compiled the list of candidates registering for the 2017 National High School Exam. The results show that many figures have changed compared to the previous exam.

As of 9:00 a.m. on April 17, the Department of Examinations and Quality Control, Department of Education and Training, had received 30,165 applications for the exam. Of these, more than 2,000 were independent candidates.

The initial summary results show that in addition to the three compulsory subjects of Math, Literature, and Foreign Language, the remaining two subjects in the Natural Science subject group and the Social Science subject group have changed compared to previous years. In particular, the number of candidates registering for the Social Science subject group is higher than last year, accounting for nearly 70% (nearly double that of 2016). Specifically, the number of candidates registering for the Natural Science subject group including Physics is: 12,532 students, Chemistry: 12,660 students, Biology: 11,853 students. In the Social Science subject group, there are 19,572 students in History, 19,317 students in Geography, and 18,098 students in Civic Education.

Statistics up to this point show that 10,502 students have registered for the graduation exam, 17,630 students have registered for the graduation exam and university admission, and 2,033 students have registered for university admission (mainly independent candidates).

According to the representative of the Department of Examination and Quality Control, this is the expected data and will change until the end of April 20. However, among the updated records, there are still many errors. Currently, the Department of Education and Training also regularly guides schools to re-check the information of candidates to review the registered information, ensuring accuracy.

In addition, through checking the book "Things to know about regular university and college admissions for regular teacher training majors in 2017", the information of some universities and colleges (teacher training majors) has incorrect information about major codes and quotas. Therefore, to avoid errors affecting the rights in the selection process, the Department requires the examination staff to update the information publicly available on the school's information page and the Ministry of Education and Training's Admissions Portal at the addressthituyensinh.vn.

The Department also plans to have school delegations cross-check records to ensure the rights of students during the registration and admission process.
