Nghe An: Over 5 billion VND allocated to support industrial promotion activities.

(Baonghean.vn) - According to assessments, Nghe An is one of the localities that has implemented the industrial promotion program well, including both in terms of financial support and the effectiveness of the projects.

In 2017, Nghe An province was allocated 5.327 billion VND for industrial promotion, including 1.2 billion VND for national industrial promotion and 4.127 billion VND for local industrial promotion.

From these funds, the Nghe An Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center has implemented many projects covering the following areas: participating in industrial, handicraft, and traditional village trade fairs and exhibitions; investing in the construction of new production lines, expanding production scale, and applying advanced machinery; purchasing equipment and tools for production in traditional villages and villages with crafts; directing the development of industry, handicrafts, and the construction of traditional villages at the provincial and district levels...

Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade is organizing and implementing projects according to guidelines. Expected outcomes are as follows...National industrial promotion projects will end on December 10, 2017, and local industrial promotion projects will end before December 31, 2017.

Several projects have been implemented, such as the project to build a demonstration model for the production of incense sticks, bamboo chopsticks, and water skewers for domestic consumption and export from bamboo raw materials at Khanh Tam Forestry Products Co., Ltd.; supporting the establishment of 30 new industrial production enterprises in economically and socially disadvantaged and particularly disadvantaged areas of Nghe An province; and building a demonstration model for the production of plastic granules and products from waste plastic with a capacity of 10,000 tons/year at Ha Tien Investment and Development Joint Stock Company.

In addition, the Nghe An Industrial Promotion Center, in coordination with the Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center 1, has spearheaded two projects. These include supporting the investment in new CNC wood carving equipment for FMC Forestry Products Co., Ltd. (Quang Tien Ward, Thai Hoa Town); and organizing training courses on business management, production management, and marketing strategies for industrial manufacturing enterprises in Nghe An.

Mr. Vo Van Phuc, Deputy Director in charge of the Nghe An Industrial Promotion and Development Consulting Center, said: In 2017, the Provincial People's Committee approved support of 4.127 billion VND for 81 projects; industrial promotion activities implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Department of Local Industry supported Nghe An with 3 projects with a total budget of 1.2 billion VND. Currently, the projects are being implemented according to the plan committed to the Department of Local Industry and the Provincial People's Committee.
