Nghe An: Over 600 surveillance cameras monitored traffic violations during the "street racing" night.
The Nghe An Provincial Police announced that they will utilize the existing system of over 600 surveillance cameras, installed at 191 key locations in the former Vinh City area, to record and handle traffic violations during the public's "street parade" celebrations.
According to forecasts following the 3-2 victory of the Vietnam U22 team against Thailand U22, traffic volume is expected to increase dramatically. In light of this, in addition to strengthening security and order, the Nghe An Provincial Police will resolutely handle serious violations, especially those involving excessive behavior, disregard for the law, and potential risks of accidents and threats to people's lives.
The existing surveillance camera system will be an important support channel, helping law enforcement agencies identify, track, and handle cases of traffic violations during the "street racing" events.

All camera systems and software and data management systems are integrated, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology for intelligent recognition and search, in line with the Industry 4.0 trend. Some of the system's key features and functions include: object tracking; integrated setup to support target protection, escorting, and other security and order maintenance plans; and monitoring based on license plates and vehicle characteristics.
In particular, the camera system not only assists in traffic regulation by counting vehicle volume and speed to assess congestion, but also has the feature of detecting traffic safety violations. Specifically, violations such as: failing to obey traffic lights; driving and changing lanes incorrectly; speeding; motorcycles carrying too many passengers; not wearing helmets, etc., can be detected.
All camera signals will be transmitted directly from the locations to the Provincial Police Command Center via fiber optic cable for processing, ensuring data security and integrity.
