Nghe An province held a press conference to provide information on the economic, social, national defense, and security situation in the first six months of 2025.
On the afternoon of July 14th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a press conference on the economic, social, national defense, and security situation in the first six months of 2025.

The press conference was chaired by: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Attending the press conference were: Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Justice; Mr. Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television.
Also attending were leaders from relevant departments and agencies; representatives from central and local press agencies operating in the area; and a large number of reporters and journalists.
First report on the situation regarding the issuance of legal documents.
In the first six months of the year, Nghe An province's growth rate is estimated at 8.24%, ranking 12th out of 34 provinces and cities.

The industrial and construction sector played a leading role with a growth rate of 13.45% (industry alone reached 14.42%), continuing to be the main pillar driving growth. The agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector increased by 4.48%; and the service sector increased by 6.72%.
Export turnover is estimated at 1.8 billion USD, an increase of 25.1%; retail sales of goods and services are estimated at 87.3 trillion VND, an increase of 14.8%.
State budget revenue reached VND 13,909 billion, equivalent to 78.5% of the projected figure, an increase of 14.7% compared to the same period last year, of which domestic revenue accounted for VND 12,932 billion, reaching 80.7% of the projected figure.

Investment attraction has yielded positive results. In the first six months of the year, the province approved investment policies and issued investment registration certificates for 35 projects, and adjusted investments for 98 projects. The total newly approved and increased investment capital amounted to over 15,021 billion VND, of which foreign direct investment reached over 292 million USD.

At the press conference, the Nghe An Department of Justice reported for the first time on the issuance of legal documents by the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee. In the first six months of the year, the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee issued 46 legal documents (8 resolutions, 38 decisions), an increase of 28 documents compared to the same period in 2024. The documents were drafted and issued according to the correct procedures, ensuring feasibility, accessibility, and implementation.

Including this content in the monthly press briefing demonstrates transparency in legislative work, providing the press and the public with an additional channel to keep abreast of new policies, contributing to improved law enforcement effectiveness, and enhancing accountability and social oversight of local government's legislative activities.

At the press conference, journalists asked numerous questions related to issues of public concern, such as: the implementation of the new land price list; the progress of compensation and land clearance for National Highway 1A; the arrangement and placement of officials in the two-level local government; tourism development; the labor situation in enterprises; and the management of mineral exploitation and transportation activities. Leaders of relevant departments and agencies directly answered and provided specific information on each topic with a receptive and responsible attitude.

Pay attention to and strengthen propaganda work, focusing on three key areas.
Concluding the press conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long highly appreciated the role of the press in accompanying the government, not only as a bridge of information between the State and the people, but also as a "leading force" in reflecting reality and providing quick and accurate information.
The comrade expressed his wish for the press to continue to participate deeply in the process of providing feedback and critique on policies from the outset, especially on legal documents, to ensure practicality, appropriateness, and effectiveness in implementation; and at the same time, to accompany in disseminating new policies and mechanisms of the province, contributing to creating social consensus, improving the efficiency of management, administration, and serving the people.

In outlining the tasks for the last six months of the year, the province has identified 11 key task groups and solutions. Among these, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that media agencies continue to pay attention to and promote propaganda work, focusing on three key areas: the implementation of a two-tiered local government system, ensuring smooth, effective, and efficient operation; administrative reform; digital transformation; and the effectiveness of Project 06.
Comrade Bui Dinh Long also requested a report on the dissemination of information regarding Nghe An's implementation of the "four pillars" identified by the Politburo to create momentum for development, including: Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution 66-NQ/TW on reforming the work of drafting and enforcing laws; and Resolution 68-NQ/TW on the development of the private economy in Nghe An.

Also at the program, comrades Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, presented Certificates of Commendation from the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association to two journalists from Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television for their outstanding achievements in professional work and association building in 2024, including: Journalist Ngo Duc Chuyen - Head of Current Affairs - Politics Department, Nghe An Newspaper; and Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Reporter at Nghe An Radio and Television Station (from July 1, 2025, Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station will merge into Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television Station).
