Nghe An Province provides guidance on nominating candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council.
On the morning of December 23rd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organized a training conference to guide agencies, organizations, and units in nominating candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and to implement some new legal documents for 2025.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Mr. Phan Sy Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, emphasized that the process of nominating candidates and preparing application dossiers for National Assembly and Provincial People's Council representatives by agencies, organizations, and units is a crucial step and an extremely important aspect in selecting candidates for the National Assembly and Provincial People's Council who meet the necessary standards and quality requirements.

To ensure the successful conduct of the elections for the 16th National Assembly and the 19th People's Council of Nghe An province, for the 2026-2031 term, following the successful organization of the first consultative conference by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels throughout the province, the procedures and contents will continue as prescribed.

The success of the conference will contribute to laying the groundwork for elections in the province to be democratic, objective, equal, and in accordance with the Constitution and laws; selecting truly outstanding individuals who represent the will, aspirations, and wisdom of all strata of the people.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requests that agencies, units, organizations, and localities, immediately after the conference, organize the dissemination and strict implementation of the guided contents, and organize the process and procedures for nominating candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring democracy, objectivity, consistency, uniformity, and compliance with the law.

At the same time, it is required that the implementation process be carried out meticulously step by step, paying particular attention to the conditions and regulations related to organizing voter conferences at workplaces, to avoid errors that could affect the overall progress of the election.

At the conference, delegates heard Dr. Nguyen Van Pha - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - guide agencies and units in nominating candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and implement some new legal documents in 2025.
The delegates at the conference also discussed related issues to reach a consensus on implementing tasks effectively and with high quality.
