Nghe An opens the 2023 Competition for Excellent Grassroots Youth Union Secretaries

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the contest, Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest Le Van Luong emphasized that in recent times, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has always focused on personnel work, organization and building of the Youth Union and considered this a key factor determining the success in implementing the revolutionary movement activities of the Youth Union.

This was clearly demonstrated when the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress clearly identified the motto of quality of the Youth Union base as the focus, and the work of Youth Union cadres as the breakthrough. From there, a team of Youth Union cadres with political will, ethics, courage, and talent was built to meet the increasingly high requirements of the Youth Union work and the Youth and Children's movement in the new situation.

The contest aims to create a useful playground for grassroots Youth Union officials to demonstrate their knowledge and capacity in Youth Union work and the Youth and Children's Movement. At the same time, it surveys and evaluates the quality of grassroots Youth Union Secretaries, thereby discovering, honoring and praising outstanding Youth Union Secretaries of the province.

This is also an opportunity for the grassroots Youth Union Secretaries in the whole province to exchange, learn and share practical experiences in the work of the Youth Union and the Youth Movement, contributing to improving capacity and successfully implementing political tasks in the locality and unit. Gradually building an increasingly strong Youth Union organization.

The contest content includes: Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Action Program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Major policies of the Party and State on Youth Union work and on youth and children; Political report, Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2022 - 2027; Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Instructions on implementing the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

In addition, the focus is on professional work of organizing and building the Union; work of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, the Vietnam Youth Union; Political report, Resolution of the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province; History, tradition, national culture; History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union; Historical tradition of Nghe An province; history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province. Movements, plans, programs, major campaigns of the Union through the periods; Skills in persuading, mobilizing, grasping the thoughts of youth and many other important contents.

The qualifying round of the National Competition for Excellent Grassroots Youth Union Secretaries was launched over 4 weeks, from August 7, 2023 to September 3, 2023 on the Vietnam Youth application organized by the Central Youth Union.

Nghe An had 625 grassroots Youth Union Secretaries in the whole province competing together on the knowledge test platform. After nearly a month of competition, through the results compiled by the Central Youth Union of Nghe An, there were 30 outstanding faces with the highest test scores and the shortest test completion time to compete at the Provincial Competition in 2023.

The provincial round has 4 competitions: Technology, Wisdom, Talent and Courage. The 10 best contestants in the Grassroots Youth Union Secretary - Technology competition will enter the Final Round of the competition, which will take place on September 20, 2023 with a stage competition, including 3 contents: Grassroots Youth Union Secretary - Wisdom; Grassroots Youth Union Secretary - Talent; Grassroots Youth Union Secretary - Courage. In the end, the competition will award 1 first prize; 1 second prize; 2 third prizes; 6 consolation prizes and 1 most impressive cheerleader prize.

The two best contestants of the contest will represent Nghe An to participate in the national final round taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.
