Nghe An opens the 2023 Competition for Outstanding Grassroots Youth Union Secretaries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition, Comrade Le Van Luong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that in recent years, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union has always focused on personnel work and organizational development, considering this a key factor in determining the success of the Youth Union's revolutionary movement activities.

This was clearly demonstrated at the 18th Provincial Youth Union Congress, where the focus was on the quality of grassroots Youth Union branches, and the work of Youth Union cadres was identified as a breakthrough. From there, the goal was to build a team of Youth Union cadres with strong political convictions, high moral character, and talent, meeting the increasingly high demands of Youth Union work and the youth movement in the new situation.

The competition aims to create a valuable platform for grassroots Youth Union officials to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in Youth Union work and youth movements. At the same time, it surveys and evaluates the quality of grassroots Youth Union secretaries, thereby identifying, honoring, and commending outstanding Youth Union secretaries in the province.

This is also an opportunity for grassroots Youth Union secretaries throughout the province to interact, learn, and exchange practical experiences in Youth Union work and youth movements, contributing to improving capacity and successfully implementing political tasks at the local and unit levels. It also helps build a stronger Youth Union organization step by step.

The competition content includes: Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Action Program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Major policies of the Party and State on Youth Union work and youth; Political Report and Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2022-2027; Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Guidelines for implementing the Charter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

In addition, emphasis was placed on organizational work and the building of the Youth Union; the work of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization and the Vietnam Youth Union; the political report and resolutions of the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province; the history, traditions, and culture of the nation; the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Youth Union; the historical traditions of Nghe An province; and the history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province. It also covered major movements, plans, programs, and campaigns of the Youth Union throughout different periods; skills in persuasion, mobilization, and understanding the thoughts of young people; and many other important contents.

The qualifying rounds of the National Competition for Outstanding Grassroots Youth Union Secretaries commenced over four weeks, from August 7th, 2023 to September 3rd, 2023, on the Vietnam Youth application organized by the Central Committee of the Youth Union.

In Nghe An province, 625 grassroots Youth Union secretaries participated in a knowledge-based quiz competition. After nearly a month of competition, based on the compiled results from the Nghe An Central Youth Union, 30 outstanding individuals with the highest scores and shortest completion times advanced to the provincial-level competition in 2023.

The provincial-level competition consists of four parts: Technology, Knowledge, Talent, and Courage. The top 10 contestants in the Technology section of the Youth Union Secretary competition will advance to the final round on September 20, 2023, which will feature a stage-based competition with three categories: Knowledge, Talent, and Courage. Ultimately, the competition will award 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, 6 consolation prizes, and 1 prize for the most impressive supporter.

The two most outstanding contestants in the competition will represent Nghe An in the national final round, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.
