Nghe An opens the "Nurturing Dreams" Summer Camp.
On the morning of July 11th, the Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House, in collaboration with the Khai Minh Duc Education System, organized the opening ceremony of the "Nurturing Dreams" summer camp for children of union members and workers employed at enterprise-level trade unions under the commune/ward trade unions and grassroots trade unions directly affiliated with the Provincial Federation of Labor.
The "Nurturing Dreams" summer camp aims to provide opportunities for children of union members and workers to participate in beneficial experiential activities, enhance their awareness and understanding of life, and motivate them to overcome their circumstances.
Through the summer camp format, the organizers also aim to educate children about patriotism, national pride, and to promote a beautiful, positive, and ethical lifestyle. In particular, they want to instill gratitude, love, and resilience in the children. This is also an opportunity to cultivate self-awareness, discipline, teamwork, and other skills, helping them become more resilient in life.
This is a humanitarian activity aimed at providing practical care for the children of union members and workers, contributing to the implementation of Directive 28-CT/TW dated December 25, 2023, of the Politburo on strengthening the work of caring for, educating, and protecting children, meeting the requirements of a prosperous and happy nation.
Speaking at the program, Comrade Cao Nguyen Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union - emphasized that for many years, the Provincial Labor Union has always cared for and supported union members, workers, and their children. In particular, the Summer Camp for children of union members and workers not only provides joyful holidays but also creates an environment for them to develop life skills, independence, solidarity, and adaptability through collective activities.
This will be valuable preparation, helping students gain more confidence and energy to enter the new school year and continue to achieve many successes in their studies and lives.
The "Nurturing Dreams" summer camp in 2026, with the participation of over 350 children, was held over two days (July 11-12, 2026) with a series of meaningful activities. The children not only participated in fun and recreational activities but also listened to lectures on the five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh; laid flowers and reported their achievements to President Ho Chi Minh; and performed folk dances at Ho Chi Minh Square.
In addition, the children learn skills such as preparing meals, taking care of themselves and others, listening to lectures on gratitude and developing a sense of independence; practicing filial piety, gratitude, self-care and caring for others…
