Nghe An opens the province's largest OCOP showroom.
On the morning of January 30th, the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade inaugurated a showroom to display, introduce, and sell typical industrial, handicraft, and OCOP products of the province; and simultaneously organized a trade connection program between distributors and businesses and production and trading establishments in mountainous areas.
Large-scale, modern OCOP showroom

The showroom for displaying, introducing, and selling industrial, handicraft, and OCOP products of Nghe An province is located at 70 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Thanh Vinh Ward. This is currently the largest showroom in the province, built with funding from the Provincial People's Committee. It has a total construction area of nearly 250m², a total floor area of nearly 500m², and a modern, integrated display space.
According to the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, the exhibition hall includes main functional areas such as: an area for displaying and selling industrial, handicraft, and OCOP products; an area for introducing energy-saving models; and an area for displaying "genuine vs. counterfeit goods".
More than just a sales point, this is also a regular trade promotion location, contributing to building a professional and reputable image for Nghe An products, and gradually accessing modern distribution channels.

All products displayed and introduced must meet strict requirements regarding quality, origin, and provenance. Priority will be given to OCOP products with 3 stars or higher, typical provincial-level rural industrial products, key products, export products, and distinctive local specialties.
Quality control is strictly implemented in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade and market management forces, aiming to protect consumer rights.
A notable highlight is the display area for confiscated counterfeit, substandard, and intellectual property infringing goods.
This area serves as a platform for raising awareness and providing warnings, helping residents and tourists improve their skills in identifying genuine and counterfeit goods, thereby contributing to the creation of a healthy and transparent business environment.

Along with the showroom opening ceremony, the program connecting distributors with businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments in the mountainous areas of Nghe An province was organized as a key trade promotion activity of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The program is implemented based on the provincial People's Committee's plans to innovate agricultural product consumption methods and develop the socio-economic conditions of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. It serves as a forum for businesses and production facilities in mountainous regions to directly meet and exchange information with supermarkets, retail chains, and consuming businesses both within and outside the province.

Nghe An province has a vast mountainous area with rich potential for agricultural products, specialties, OCOP products, and rural industrial products that reflect the unique local culture. However, the consumption of these products still faces difficulties due to small-scale production, limitations in packaging, labeling, traceability, and market connectivity.
Through the trade networking program, businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities have the opportunity to directly introduce their products, understand market demands, and thereby adjust production processes towards standardization, improving quality and competitiveness.
At the same time, distributors also have more opportunities to access abundant local supplies, meeting the consumer trend of prioritizing safe products with clear origins.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Duc Anh, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, affirmed that the department will continue to support businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities in mountainous areas in trade promotion, brand development, digital transformation application, and product quality improvement.
The opening of the showroom and the organization of business networking events are expected to create new momentum for the consumption of local products, stimulate the market demand at the end of the year and during the Lunar New Year, and contribute to affirming the position of Nghe An products in the domestic market.
