Nghe An province inaugurates the Cua Lo - Dongguan international container route.
On the morning of September 24th, at Cua Lo Port, Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with YCKY shipping company, officially launched an international container route directly connecting Cua Lo (Nghe An) and Dongguan (China). This is considered a significant milestone, opening up great opportunities for import and export activities of Nghe An province in particular and the North Central region in general.
Attending the opening ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Deputy Director of Nghe An Maritime Port Authority; and from Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company, Mr. Bui Kieu Hung - General Director of the Company and representatives of the leadership of related units.
Representing the client, YCKY Shipping Company, were Mr. Jiang Hong Jun - General Manager; and Mr. Sun Yan Yin - Deputy General Manager.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Kieu Hung – General Director of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company – emphasized: The opening of the new shipping route, especially the international container route, has great strategic significance. This transport route will help local businesses shorten time and logistics costs, create favorable conditions for trade, and enhance the competitiveness of goods in the international market.

Accordingly, goods from Nghe An and neighboring provinces can be transported directly from Cua Lo to Dongguan instead of being transshipped through other major ports, contributing to cost savings, improved efficiency, and guaranteed delivery times. This is an important opportunity to boost import and export turnover, especially for agricultural products, seafood, construction materials, and light industry sectors in the region.

The leaders of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company affirmed that today's achievements were thanks to the close guidance and support of the Nghe An Maritime Administration, the Cua Lo Port Border Guard Station, the Cua Lo Customs Office, and the close cooperation of various agencies and departments. This event also demonstrates Nghe Tinh Port's determination to improve service quality, ensure cargo safety, and build long-term cooperative relationships with international shipping lines.

Representatives from participating businesses assessed that this new transportation route will create further impetus for the development of import and export companies in the area; at the same time, they expressed their desire to receive comprehensive support from state management agencies to ensure the stable and long-term operation of this international container route.

With its unique position as the closest gateway to the sea for the North Central region and neighboring Laos, Cua Lo Port holds a strategically important position in the regional logistics chain. Nghe Tinh Port is committed to continuing to invest in infrastructure, improve operational processes, and enhance service quality to meet the growing needs of partners and customers.

The inauguration of the Cua Lo – Dongguan route not only contributes to expanding Nghe An's import and export market but also affirms the role of Cua Lo Port in the strategy for developing the marine economy, logistics, and international integration. This is expected to be an important foundation to help Nghe An increase its competitiveness, attract investment, and achieve sustainable development in the future.
