Nghe An: Export turnover of goods increased by more than 20%
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An, the province's total export turnover in the first 6 months of 2022 is estimated at 1.27 billion USD, an increase of 19.76% over the same period last year, reaching 54% of the yearly plan.

Many items have increased turnover compared to the same period in 2021, such as Phone components in the first 6 months estimated at 218.9 million USD, up 75.5% over the same period in 2021; Textiles and garments reached 215 million USD, up 25.75%; Wood chips reached 122.8 million USD, up 31%; Footwear of all kinds reached 19 million USD, up more than 8 times over the same period in 2021; Plastic additives reached 16.3 million USD; Wood pellets reached 12.4 million USD, up 634%; Wood chips reached 105.5 million USD, up 27%; Stones of all kinds reached 70 million USD, up 25%; Petroleum reached 12 million USD, up 10 times over the same period in 2021.

The export market has been expanded in the direction of diversification and effective utilization of markets with FTAs that Vietnam has signed. Nghe An enterprises have exported to about 120 countries and territories around the world, in which the turnover of some major markets includes: China estimated at 256.3 million USD, South Korea reached 141.8 million USD, Hong Kong reached 127.8 million USD, the United States reached 109.3 million USD, Switzerland reached 61.6 million USD,... Some new export markets this year include: Sao Tome and Principe, Costa Rica, Equatorial Guinea, Niger, Djibouti, Palau, New Caledonia, Armenia,...
In the first 6 months of 2022, there were over 280 enterprises in the province, including 178 domestic enterprises and 103 enterprises from other provinces participating.export goodsof Nghe An province.
According to statistics, there are 9 enterprises reaching over 20 million USD; 21 enterprises reaching a turnover of 10 million USD or more. Some typical enterprises have participated in regular export activities and achieved a good turnover (over 30 million USD), specifically: Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company, Thanh Thanh Dat Company Limited, Merry&Luxshare Vietnam Company Limited and LUXSHARE - ICT (Nghe An), Minh Anh Do Luong Garment Joint Stock Company, Minh Anh - Kim Lien Garment, Kido Vinh Company Limited, Em-Tech Vietnam Vinh Company Limited.

In addition to the encouraging results, export activities in the first 6 months of 2022 also faced difficulties and challenges such as: high freight rates, energy prices and raw material prices are constantly increasing due to the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. For agricultural products going through the northern border gate to China, there is often congestion at the border gate area (Kim Thanh-Lao Cai, Mong Cai-Quang Ninh border gates, etc.), causing delays in delivery.
In addition, China is increasingly strengthening law enforcement,border trade policyin the direction of strengthening supervision and strictly implementing regulations on agricultural and aquatic product imports on land borders, through measures such as traceability, packaging specifications, and food hygiene and safety. Enterprises exporting to Laos face many difficulties due to the continuous devaluation of the Kip. The tense war situation between Russia and Ukraine has changed the transportation of goods to Russia, it is not possible to go directly to Russia but must be transferred through ports in Asia.
