Nghe An celebrates 60 years since Uncle Ho visited his hometown for the first time
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 14, at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to his hometown (June 14, 1957 - June 14, 2017).

The 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's first visit to his homeland (June 14, 1957 - June 14, 2017) is an event of great significance, an opportunity for the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An province to report to Uncle Ho, determined to successfully implement his teaching: "Build our province into one of the best provinces in the North".
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission; Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission. Comrades: Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office: Tran Van Thanh, Bui Van Thach. On the side of Military Region 4, there was Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Military Region. Former members of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Ba - Former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Le Doan Hop - Former Minister of Information and Communications, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen The Trung - Former Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; representatives of leaders of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors, and a large number of people of the province. |
Expressing his respect and infinite gratitude for his great contributions, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh delivered the opening speech of the Commemoration Ceremony, affirming: "The Party Committee and people of Nghe An promise to Him, to the Party and State, to the people and comrades of the whole country: to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and determination to strive to make Nghe An homeland increasingly strong and developed."
On behalf of the Party and State leaders attending the ceremony, comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee warmly welcomed and congratulated the achievements of the province; shared the difficulties, complexities and burdens of comrades and people of Nghe An province.
Believing that with its glorious history and tradition, Nghe An province will continue to excellently fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, comrade Pham Minh Chinh respectfully requested the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Nghe An province to continue to well perform the 6 key tasks in the coming time.
Right after the opening ceremony is the comprehensive art program "Homeland forever echoes people's words" performed by 200 artists and actors.

The program combines various forms of stage performance, including typical songs about President Ho Chi Minh and his homeland, consisting of 4 segments.
Section 1 has the theme: From Lotus Village, remembering Uncle Ho.
Section 2 has the theme: Following in His Footsteps, briefly introducing the life and activities of President Ho Chi Minh during the period 1911 - 1941, from the time he left the country to find a way to save the country until he returned home.
Section 3 has the theme: Homeland with deep affection and meaning, recreating the image of Uncle Ho visiting his hometown for the first time on June 14, 1957, expressing the hometown's affection for Uncle Ho and Uncle Ho's affection for his hometown.
Section 4 has the theme: Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's words, which speaks of the renovation of Nghe An. Following his advice, the Party Committee and people of the province have continuously risen up, determined to strive to build Nghe An to be more and more prosperous and civilized.

The art program with content praising the great contributions, bright morality and sacred feelings of President Ho Chi Minh in the hearts of the people of the whole country and his homeland of Nghe An, notably the folk song material Vi Giam left many emotions in the hearts of the audience.
