Nghe An prepares evacuation plan ahead of Typhoon No. 7.
(Baonghean.vn) - Before typhoon No. 7 made landfall, Quynh Luu district planned to relocate 149 households with more than 1,600 people in coastal areas to safe locations.

To proactively respond to Typhoon No. 7, this morning (October 13), the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district issued a directive on responding to the typhoon. The district has nearly 1,200 large vessels, including more than 700 offshore fishing vessels.
Following the directive, from yesterday until today, coastal communes such as Tien Thuy, Quynh Long, Quynh Nghia, Quynh Thuan, and Son Hai have been focusing on urging fishing vessels at sea to return to shore to avoid and take shelter from the storm.

As of noon on October 13th, all fishing boats from Quynh Luu district had returned to shore and anchored safely at Lach Thoi and Lach Quen. A representative from the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station stated that after receiving a directive from the Provincial People's Committee regarding proactive response to the storm, they had taken action.Typhoon No. 7The unit is focusing on urging ships operating in the area to return to shore to avoid and take shelter from the storm.
For vessels that have returned to shore and anchored, the unit assigns officers to go to the area to disseminate information and guide fishermen on how to prevent and avoid collisions between boats during strong waves and winds.

In Hoang Mai town, local authorities quickly and effectively responded to Typhoon No. 7. In Quynh Lap commune, 172 boats and vessels 15 meters or longer, 52 boats under 15 meters, and 186 motorized rafts were all brought ashore.safe anchoragethis morning (October 13).

Dien Chau district is also actively developing plans to respond to typhoon number 7. As of noon on October 13th, all fishing boats belonging to local fishermen have returned to safe mooring areas.
Forecasts for the next 24 hours indicate that Typhoon No. 7 will move in a west-northwest direction at approximately 20 km per hour and is likely to intensify. By 4:00 AM on October 14th, the typhoon's center will be located at approximately 19.0 degrees North latitude and 108.7 degrees East longitude, southwest of Hainan Island (China). The strongest winds near the center of the typhoon will be at force 9-10 (75-100 km/hour), with gusts up to force 12.
