These days, trucks carrying goods and essential supplies from the people of Nghe An are lining up to travel north to support their compatriots in the flood-stricken areas.

These days, people in Nghe An – whether farmers, fishmongers, elderly people, or students – upon hearing news of the devastating floods and the immense losses suffered by their compatriots in the North, are all willing to contribute their efforts and resources for their fellow countrymen in the North.
Ms. Vân, from Trung Phong hamlet, Xuân Hòa commune (Nam Đàn district), sells vegetables at Vinh market, earning only 150,000-200,000 VND per day, carefully saving every penny of profit to support her family. However, upon hearing that there was a collection point in Nam Đàn for goods to be sent to the North, she transported life jackets, grains, water, etc., which she considered: "Contributing a small effort to encourage the people. It's not much, but it's a gesture of love and compassion, in the spirit of 'helping those in need'." (Photo: TP)
Áo phao, đèn pin, mì tôm, nước uống, sữa… nhanh chóng tập kết, vận chuyển ra các địa chỉ cần hỗ trợ.
Small business owners, from rural areas to cities, despite being overwhelmed with their daily trading, still find time to collect donations for each item they buy. They become reluctant "porters" in the process. Photo: TP
Ban ngày, vừa lo bán hàng, vừa lo đi gom đồ, tối đến, chưa kịp cơm nước lại tất tả lo phân loại đồ, đóng gói, soạn sửa để những mặt hàng cứu trợ kịp thời đến tay bà con.
During the day, they are busy selling goods and collecting supplies; in the evening, before even having time for dinner, they rush to sort, pack, and prepare relief items so that they can reach the people in need in a timely manner. Despite traveling long distances, enduring rain, and subsisting on makeshift meals of dried rations and bottled water, all members of the relief team actively contributed to helping their compatriots in the flood-stricken areas. (Photo: Provided by the team)
