It is known that the bride is named PT, from Nghia Xuan commune and the groom is named LT, from Minh Hop commune, both are only 16 years old. The couple's wedding took place in front of many relatives and guests from both sides. When the wedding photos were widely shared online, many people were surprised and quite shocked.

Mr. Truong Van Chinh - Chairman of Nghia Xuan Commune (Quy Hop District) said: "The wedding of LT - PT (born in 2000) is real. Before that, the commune did not know, the two families organized the wedding themselves. After the information spread on the internet, on the afternoon of June 21, the commune went to PT's family to verify. The family said that because the two children truly loved each other, they organized a wedding for them. After the wedding, the two children still went to school as usual. Currently, LT and PT are students at Quy Hop 2 High School (Quy Hop District)".

Discussing this unusual wedding, Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Chau - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Minh Hop Commune (Quy Hop) affirmed that this was an early marriage secretly held on a holiday (Sunday - June 19) so the local authorities were not aware of it. Immediately after receiving the information, the commune leaders stepped in to verify and clarify.

Ms. Chau also said that this morning (June 22), the commune invited relevant people to work at the commune People's Committee headquarters.
