At approximately 6 PM on April 23rd, a hailstorm accompanied by strong winds swept through several communes: Luong Minh, Xa Luong, Thach Giam, Tam Thai, Tam Dinh in Hoa Binh town and some communes in the reservoir area of ​​Tuong Duong district.

According to locals, the hailstorm, accompanied by strong winds, lasted for nearly 20 minutes.

The hailstones scattered across the ground after the rain were white.

Mr. Luong Van Phan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district, said that the hailstones were as big as a thumb. The authorities have not yet been able to assess the damage.
