(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, the winter-spring rice crop is beginning to ripen, and localities in Nghe An are starting to harvest, with some areas achieving yields of nearly 80 quintals/hectare.
*This spring,Yen Thanh district12,872.4 hectares have been planted, mainly with hybrid rice varieties and some high-quality rice varieties. To date, farmers have begun harvesting the spring rice crop; the average rice yield is estimated at 71.5 quintals/hectare, more than 3 quintals/hectare higher than last year's spring crop, with some hybrid rice areas estimated at 75-80 quintals/hectare. In the spring of 2018, Nghe An province planted over 92,000 hectares of spring rice; the estimated average yield was 66.44 quintals/hectare.
