Nghe An: Overload at the "6 in 1" vaccination site for children
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 22, hundreds of people gathered at the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine waiting to get their children vaccinated with the “6 in 1” vaccine. Due to the sudden increase in the number of parents taking their children for vaccination, many families who waited too long had to take their children home.
At 10am this morning (February 22), hundreds of parents were waiting for their turn to get their children vaccinated. The consultation and service desks of the provincial Center for Preventive Medicine were packed with people jostling to pay money and buy vaccination books.

Ms. Nguyen Thi T, a resident of Hung Nguyen district, said that although she had waited for a queue number very early, by noon her child had not yet been vaccinated because there were too many people bringing their children for vaccination. Ms. T said that many people from Tuong Duong and Con Cuong districts also brought their children here for vaccination, and even people from Ha Tinh also came here for vaccination.
Due to the large number of people bringing their children for vaccination and the long wait, some parents took their children home and waited for the next round. However, some people with lower numbers still waited patiently.

Doctor Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, said: Recently, the number of parents in need of vaccination services for their children has increased, especially on the morning of February 22, the number of children brought to the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine increased dramatically.
Explaining the above situation, Mr. Dinh said that this time, the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine was given 130 doses of the "6 in 1" vaccine, while the number of children brought here for vaccination was over 200 children, so there was overload and crowding.
"Because it is a vaccination service, anyone who needs it can register for it, there is no limit on region or locality, so there are people from other districts, even Ha Tinh province, who bring their children here to get vaccinated," Mr. Dinh added.
To resolve the above situation, the Director of the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine said: We will vaccinate the children in order, the rest will have parents register their name, age, and address, when the vaccine arrives, we will inform parents to bring their children for vaccination, avoiding the situation of crowding and overload like this morning.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, in addition to the Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, district, city, and town health centers, some commune and ward health stations... also have "6 in 1" vaccination services.
