In anticipation of the tropical depression potentially strengthening into a storm, at 4 PM today, June 10th, Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 02/CD-UBND, directing proactive response measures.

According to a bulletin from the Nghe An Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on the morning of June 10, 2025, the low-pressure area over the northern part of the East Sea strengthened into a tropical depression. At 1 PM on June 10, the center of the tropical depression was located at approximately 15.3 degrees North latitude; 114.8 degrees East longitude, about 360 km east-southeast of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands.

The strongest winds near the center of the tropical depression are at force 6-7, gusting to force 9. Forecasts indicate that over the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move west-northwest at a speed of approximately 5-10 km/h, with winds reaching force 8, gusting to force 10, and has the potential to strengthen into a typhoon.
