Nghe An province launches 4 advisory councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

On the afternoon of May 6th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to launch four advisory councils for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending the launch ceremony was Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

Four advisory councils were established.

The Advisory Council is an organizational model within the Vietnam Fatherland Front system, established according to the Front's Charter to bring together outstanding individuals to provide advice and contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of the Front's activities at all levels.

The Councils are tasked with listening to, gathering, and reflecting the opinions of the people, and providing advice and recommendations to contribute to the improvement of policies, programs, projects, and legal documents at the local level, serving socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building a strong political system.

Over the past period, the advisory councils have closely followed the coordinated program and unified action plan of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to implement and synthesize opinions from all strata of the people submitted to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

In particular, the advisory councils actively researched and contributed opinions to 14 draft documents on draft laws, projects, resolutions, and other legal documents of the Provincial People's Committee and provincial-level agencies and departments.

Notably, the draft amendments and additions to several articles of the Land Law; the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the decentralization of state budget revenue sources, local budget expenditure tasks, and the percentage of revenue sharing between budgets of different levels of local government in Nghe An province in 2025; and the draft plan for restructuring and streamlining the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the province, political and social organizations, and mass associations assigned tasks by the Party and State...

At the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province announced the decision and launched four advisory councils for the 2025-2030 term with 38 members, including: the Economic Advisory Council; the Socio-Cultural Advisory Council; the Democracy, Social Supervision and Criticism Advisory Council; and the Ethnic Groups, Religions, and Foreign Affairs Advisory Council.

The members of the Advisory Council are former leaders, experts, scientists, religious dignitaries, and reputable individuals with extensive practical experience and a deep commitment to the work of the Fatherland Front.

Leverage intellectual resources and effectively fulfill the roles of advisor and critic.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - highly appreciated the role and results of the advisory councils' activities in the past; and at the same time emphasized the higher demands on the activities of the Fatherland Front in general and the advisory councils in particular.

To effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities towards the people and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province requested that the advisory councils actively and proactively gather and collect opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of the people, especially issues of public concern related to land, environment, and compensation for land clearance in key projects…

At the same time, the Councils need to innovate their working methods in line with digital transformation, improve the quality of critical feedback, promote collective intelligence, contribute to strengthening national unity, and promote the province's development in the new phase.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung also affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will accompany and support the advisory councils to operate effectively, contributing to and improving the quality of the Fatherland Front's activities.
