Nghe An: Launching a pilot model of "Safety for women in cyberspace"

Attending the launching ceremony were: Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union; Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Minh - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union; Colonel Tran Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police. Also present were leaders of the commune, a large number of women's union members and people of Quynh Anh commune.

The model was implemented in order to To raise awareness and skills among female cadres and members in identifying, preventing, and responding to crimes and violations of the law in cyberspace. Simultaneously, to foster habits of safe and civilized internet use; proactively protect themselves and their families in the digital environment, contributing to building a nationwide movement to protect national security in cyberspace.

To implement this model, relevant departments, agencies, mass organizations, and socio-political organizations will coordinate to promote the dissemination of laws on preventing and combating cybercrime; skills in identifying and preventing online fraud, protecting personal information, and behaving safely and civilly in cyberspace to female cadres, members, and the public; and proactively detect and handle cases related to women's safety in cyberspace.

The model also involves establishing, managing, and maintaining core groups, teams, and clubs focused on "Women's Safety in Cyberspace." It coordinates training, communication, and thematic activities; develops hypothetical scenarios; and provides guidance on skills for handling harassment, defamation, violations of honor and dignity, or other risks in cyberspace.

Through this, we can promptly understand the thoughts, aspirations, and public opinion of female members, and detect and report incidents related to women's safety in cyberspace...

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Tran Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that the launch of the model demonstrates the determination of the two sectors to work together to build a safe and healthy online environment for women. He expressed confidence that, with the leadership and guidance of all levels and sectors, and the active participation and support of women's association members, the model will be effective in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women, ensuring security and order, and effectively serving the digital transformation process.
