Nghe An launches campaign for the month to promote universal social insurance and health insurance coverage.
On the morning of May 9th, the Social Insurance Department of Nghe An province held a ceremony to launch the campaign in response to the Month of Promoting and Disseminating Information on Social Insurance and Health Insurance Policies for All Citizens.
Social insurance and health insurance are two important social policies, the main pillars of the social security system; they are also one of the measures used to assess the sustainable development of each country.
Over the past 30 years, alongside economic development, social insurance and health insurance policies have increasingly affirmed their role as a main pillar in the social security system; they have received profound attention from the Party and the State and have been continuously improved and reformed to suit the country's development in each period.
The month-long campaign to promote universal social insurance and health insurance coverage is being held simultaneously throughout the province to raise awareness and responsibility of the entire society towards social insurance and health insurance policies through activities such as propaganda, answering questions, providing advice, campaigning, and expanding social insurance coverage in the area.
At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance Department called for the joint efforts of the entire political system, organizations, businesses, and people to create a sustainable and humane social security foundation. They also emphasized the importance of disseminating information on social insurance and health insurance policies.
The Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance Agency, along with related units, also launched the campaign and initiated the month-long campaign to implement universal social insurance and health insurance in 2026.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the outreach teams simultaneously deployed to advise and encourage people to participate in social insurance and health insurance at the grassroots level.
The launching ceremony aimed to publicize the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and strategies on social insurance and health insurance. This affirmed the profound concern of leaders at all levels for the welfare of the entire population.
This process will leverage the role of the Social Insurance Agency and the Post Office in disseminating information and encouraging people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance, striving to achieve the targets and plans for 2026. At the same time, it will help people understand the importance and benefits of participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance so that they can participate promptly. This will lead to a sustainable increase in the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.
As part of the program, the Nghe An Provincial Social Insurance Agency, in coordination with the Provincial Women's Union, the Truong Vinh Ward People's Committee, and PVI North Central Insurance Company, launched a community communication point on social insurance and health insurance policies in Trung Do 6 block, Truong Vinh ward.
The establishment and implementation of a community communication point on social insurance and health insurance policies in Trung Do 6 block, Truong Vinh ward, is a practical activity aimed at ensuring that all residents in the ward receive advice, information, and support on social insurance and health insurance policies; contributing to strengthening and building people's trust, creating a shift in awareness and actions; thereby proactively learning about, participating in, and enjoying social insurance and health insurance benefits.
The model aims to innovate the content and form of communication in a way that is close to the people and practical; creating conditions for people to receive timely advice, support, and answers regarding social insurance and health insurance policies.
