Nghe An is about to hold the Lotus Food Festival
Lotus flowers and their fragrant scent not only bring about a graceful and noble beauty, but dishes made from lotus also bring about unforgettable feelings. At the Nghe An Lotus Tourism and Cuisine Festival, visitors will be awarded with lotus dishes from Uncle Ho's hometown and premium lotus teas.
It is expected that from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the Provincial Cultural Center and Ho Tung Mau Walking Street, Vinh City will perform the Nghe An Lotus Food Festival.
In addition to the vibrant cultural and artistic activities at the Walking Street, the Lotus Cuisine Festival will bring to people and tourists unforgettable experiences through cuisine made from lotus ingredients of Uncle Ho's hometown, Sen Village.
Lotus of Sen Village has a special beauty. People of Sen Village are not only proud of lotus but also know how to utilize all the components of lotus to create special dishes, contributing to the sharpness and richness of Vietnamese soul.
At the Nghe An Lotus Cuisine Festival, visitors will experience the cultural space of Sen Village, where beloved Uncle Ho was born and raised, with activities recreating village life. While enjoying dishes made from Uncle Ho's hometown lotus, visitors will also be awarded with premium lotus tea.
Dishes made from lotus are very diverse, rich, elegant, good for health. For example, lotus sweet soup is a traditional dish made from lotus seeds, sugar and coconut milk. Lotus sweet soup has a light, cool taste that brings an irresistible deliciousness.
Lotus seed soup is a wonderful combination of dried lotus seeds and other nutritious ingredients. Lotus seeds are also used to make lotus cakes, combined with rice flour and sugar to create a cake recipe with a sweet, very attractive taste.
Lotus seeds create a nutritious dish with lotus seeds combined with chicken and vegetables. If customers like fat, they can choose to enjoy lotus sausage. This is a crispy dish made from lotus seeds, minced meat and vegetables. The dish is sweet, crispy, and very attractive.

The program takes place on a large scale, with many provinces and cities participating, with quarterly booths promoting and introducing tourism, cuisine, culture, and lotus products; making a mark for lotus cuisine on the culinary tourism map of Vietnam. The event also connects and promotes tourism products of Nghe An as well as provinces and cities across the country.
This is also an opportunity for domestic tourism businesses to have more conditions to survey and connect tours and tourist routes to the Central region and Nghe An. Update new tourist destinations on the Nghe An tourism map and add new documents to build products to attract tourists in the coming time.
The program "Lotus Tourism and Cuisine Festival" is expected to organize many rich contents such as: Opening, promoting lotus cuisine; Organizing and introducing lotus tourism and cuisine products; Welcoming the Famtrip delegation to survey and develop Nghe An tourism products; Conference on developing Nghe An tourism products associated with the national tourism brand in the tourism linkage of the North Central region.
With this program, Vinh city walking street will be one of the important highlights with many stalls displaying and introducing products of Nghe An and other provinces and cities across the country participating.
