Nghe An will begin construction of a multi-billion dollar industrial park in October.
(Baonghean.vn) - The WHA Hemaraj Industrial Park project is expected to commence construction in October 2017, and according to the investor, the project is expected to hand over land to the first customers in early 2018.

On the morning of August 9th, a delegation from the Thailand Board of Investment, led by Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang - Deputy Secretary-General, held a working meeting with the leaders of Nghe An province. Nearly 60 Thai businesses also accompanied the delegation. Attending the working session were Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, leaders of Cua Lo town and Nghi Loc district, and representatives of businesses in Nghe An that have investment connections with Thailand. |
At the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa introduced to the delegation the potential and strengths of Nghe An province and the preferential mechanisms and policies for foreign investors to implement investment and production and business activities in the province.
The comrade affirmed that Nghe An province's policies offer many incentives to businesses in sectors that are encouraged for investment, and that Nghe An province always values businesses and investors from the Kingdom of Thailand.

"Nghe An is accelerating administrative reforms, and foreign investors who want to learn about the investment environment, complete investment licensing procedures, etc., only need to go through the one-stop service department of the Nghe An Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center, in order to simplify procedures and paperwork and create the most favorable conditions for investors," the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
In November 2015, a delegation of businesses from the Federation of Thai Industries visited and worked in Nghe An. This laid the foundation for Nghe An and Hemaraj Group to cooperate, with the first phase of the project, covering a total area of 498 hectares, expected to commence at the end of October 2017. |
He also hoped that the trip would leave the delegation with many positive impressions, and that the businesses surveyed would find Nghe An to be an attractive destination for investors.
Next, representatives from the Hemaraj Group also introduced the Hemaraj Industrial Park project in Nghe An to the delegation from the Investment Committee and Thai businesses, stating that the project expects to hand over land to the first customers in the first quarter of 2018.

Representing the delegation, Mr. Chokedee Kaewsang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thailand Investment Commission, thanked the leaders of Nghe An province and Hemaraj Group for the information provided, and highly appreciated Nghe An's natural advantages, abundant workforce, as well as its attention and preferential mechanisms for investors.
During the discussion session, members of the delegation from the Thailand Investment Commission and businesses expressed deep interest in the investment environment in Nghe An, asking many questions about policies supporting human resource training, tax incentives, transportation infrastructure, etc., which were thoroughly answered by the provincial leaders and representatives of Nghe An's departments and agencies.

Earlier that day, the Investment Committee and Thai businesses visited and learned about the actual production and business operations of Royal Foods Co., Ltd. in Nam Cam Industrial Park, and surveyed the site for the Hemaraj Industrial Park project in Nghi Thuan and Nghi Long communes, Nghi Loc district.

The Hemaraj Industrial and Urban Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project in the Southeast Economic Zone covers a total area of approximately 3,200 hectares, located in Nghi Loc and Dien Chau districts. The total estimated investment is approximately VND 23,000 billion (USD 1 billion). The project will be divided into 7 phases by the investor, starting in 2017 and completed in 2038. Phase 1 of the project, covering nearly 500 hectares in Nghi Loc district, will begin in 2017 and be completed in 2021.
