To avoid being caught off guard during the Tet holiday, the Nghe An Provincial Election Steering Committee proposed holding the third round of consultations earlier, tentatively from February 9th to 20th, in order to finalize the list of candidates before the Tet holiday.

Currently, communes and wards are urgently implementing the plan to collect feedback and assess the trustworthiness of voters in their residential areas.

These days, along the main roads of Cua Lo ward, the atmosphere of preparation for the election of National Assembly representatives and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is evident in every residential area. Propaganda banners and posters are prominently displayed; the local public address system regularly broadcasts information about election day, the rights and obligations of voters.

A unique characteristic of coastal communes and wards in Nghe An province, such as Cua Lo, is that many workers in tourism services and fishing frequently travel for extended periods. Therefore, the ward has proactively conducted thorough reviews and coordinated with residential groups and block management boards to update the voter list fully and accurately.

Mr. Phung Duc Nhan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward, said: "With many fishermen living at sea in the area, the locality has implemented many solutions to prepare for the successful election of National Assembly representatives and People's Council representatives at all levels. After the second consultative meeting, the locality proceeded with urgent steps to ensure that the Tet holiday would not affect the election."

They requested that priests and parish councils disseminate information about the rights and responsibilities of parishioners regarding the election during church services.
