Nghe An: Two online news websites temporarily suspended.

(Baonghean.vn) - This was the announcement from the Nghe An Department of Information and Communications regarding the two online news sites tintucnghean.vn and ngheannews.vn at the regular press briefing in October.

Based on the results of a review of general news websites, the Nghe An Department of Information and Communications has discovered that two websites, tintucnghean.vn and ngheannews.vn, are operating without licenses.

Comrade Ho Quang Thanh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications - announced the temporary suspension of two online news websites at the regular press briefing in October 2016.

On September 16, 2016, the Department of Information and Communications issued Official Letter No. 1103/STTTT-QLBCXB to the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC) requesting the suspension of these two websites regarding "information provision and temporary suspension of the domain names tintucnghean.vn and ngheannews.vn". Accordingly, VNNIC has temporarily suspended the operation of the two general news websites with the aforementioned domain names.

The online news site tintucnghean.vn is registered under the name of Mr. Nguyen Sy Trong, with the address in Quynh Thang commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.

The online news site ngheannews.vn is registered under the name of Mr. Nguyen Sy Trong, address: K193/37 Tran Thai Tong Street, An Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City.

The suspension period is 45 days, starting from 3 PM on September 22, 2016.
