Nghe An conducts regional defense training and exercises in 2017.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 17th, the Steering Committee for the 2017 Provincial Defense Zone Exercise held the opening ceremony for the training course for key provincial officials.
Attending and directing the training course were the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee: Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations, as well as districts and cities.
During the one-day training course, delegates will receive focused instruction from lecturers of the National Defense Academy on topics such as: the subversive plots and tactics of hostile forces against the Vietnamese revolution and the characteristics of enemy offensive operations when attacking the provincial defense zone; some issues regarding provincial and city defense zone exercises; and the activities of Party committees, government, armed forces, and departments, agencies, and organizations in various states of national defense.

In his opening remarks at the training course, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: In recent years, implementing the reform initiated and led by our Party, the Party Committee, the people, and the armed forces of the province have strived to achieve many important achievements in the economy, culture, and society; the people's lives have continuously improved and been enhanced; and national defense and security have been consolidated and strengthened.
To ensure the success of the exercise, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the province's key officials uphold a high sense of responsibility, fully participate in the training and exercise process, and flexibly and creatively apply the conveyed content in accordance with actual conditions, functions, duties, and assigned responsibilities.
Close coordination among participating forces is essential, along with thorough, comprehensive, and well-prepared exercise content that aligns with existing organizational structures, realistic combat situations, and local capabilities.
