Nghe An: Fishing boat suffers engine failure at sea, 7 fishermen rescued safely.
(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 5:00 AM on March 23rd, the Nghe An Fisheries Surveillance Force towed a fishing boat belonging to fishermen from Son Hai commune (Quynh Luu district) that had encountered difficulties at sea safely ashore.
Previously, on March 4th, the fishing vessel numbered NA 93209 TS, captained by fisherman Tran Van Khanh (residing in Hamlet 2, Son Hai Commune) along with 6 crew members, departed from Lach Thoi port to fish for seafood.

In the early morning of March 20th, while the ship was operating at coordinates 19 degrees 06 minutes North latitude and 106 degrees 49 minutes East longitude, nearly 70 nautical miles from the mainland, its engine suddenly seized up and subsequently stopped working.
After two days of unsuccessful attempts to repair the damage, the fishermen on board contacted the Ben Thuy Coastal Information Station requesting rescue. Upon receiving the report, the Nghe An fisheries patrol vessel numbered 93967 quickly arrived at the scene to tow the distressed vessel.
By 5:00 AM on March 23rd, the distressed fishing vessel and its 7 fishermen were safely towed back to Lach Quen port in Tien Thuy commune by the Nghe An fisheries patrol force. The crew members' health has gradually stabilized.

Representatives of the Nghe An Fisheries Inspection Department held a handover ceremony for the seven fishermen from the distressed fishing vessel, in the presence of the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station.
