Nghe An participates in the conference of 9 provinces from 3 countries.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 8th, a high-level delegation from Nghe An province, led by Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the 20th High-Level Conference of 9 provinces from 3 countries (Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand) using Highway 8 and Highway 12 in Bung Kan province, Kingdom of Thailand.
| Also attending the Conference were the provinces of: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh (Vietnam); Bolikhamsai, Khammouane (Laos); Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Nong Khai and Bung Kan (Thailand). |
Opening the Conference, Mr. Pisut Butsayapanpong, Governor of Bung Can Province, expressed his honor to welcome the provinces of Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, who use Highway 8 and Highway 12, to visit Bung Can and thanked the participating provinces for their support and contributions to the success of the Conference. Mr. Pisut Butsayapanpong also reported on the results of cooperation among the nine provinces of the three countries in the past and their plans for the future.

Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, reported on the implementation of the contents of the Minutes of the 19th APOTC Summit in Khammouane province, Laos, from December 21, 2015 to the present, and presented some recommendations and proposals. In particular, significant achievements have been made in the fields of education, training, culture, sports, tourism, economy, trade and investment, and transportation between Nghe An and the provinces of Laos and Thailand.
To ensure effective cooperation in the future, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa suggested that provinces in the APOTC Association should have policies to support and encourage businesses and traders operating at border gates sharing a common border; and discuss mechanisms for coordination among provinces in exchanging skilled labor with qualifications suitable for the ASEAN community's labor market.
Nghe An province hopes to attract investors from Laos and Thailand to the Southeast Economic Zone, industrial parks and clusters, especially the Hemaraj Industrial Park in Thailand.
As Nghe An province is honored to host the 21st APOTC Preparatory Conference, Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa respectfully invites and welcomes other provinces to the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding figure of the era and the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people.
On this occasion, the APOTC member provinces also signed the Minutes of the 20th High-Level Conference of 9 provinces from 3 countries (Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand) using Highway 8 and Highway 12.
