On the morning of April 22nd, the Provincial Election Committee held a meeting to assess the progress of election preparations and decide on several matters within its authority. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee, presided over the meeting.

Attending the meeting were the Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial Election Committee: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairperson of the Provincial People's Council. Also present were members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee who are members of the Provincial Election Committee: Bui Thanh An - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Le Duc Cuong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and mass organizations.

By April 12th, the entire province had completed the compilation and posting of the lists.votersin the polling areas. The total number of registered voters in the province to date is over 2.2 million. The total number of polling stations established in the province is 3,416 units.

Propaganda work has been given attention and implemented in diverse forms by various sectors and localities; security and social order have been proactively coordinated by various sectors and localities to closely monitor the situation, preventing any complications from arising.

The handling of citizen complaints and denunciations is carried out in accordance with regulations.

To date, the Provincial Election Committee has received 2 complaints related to candidates for district-level People's Council representatives; at the district level, 7 complaints related to candidates for district-level People's Council representatives have been received; and at the commune level, 20 complaints related to candidates for commune-level People's Council representatives have been received.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial Election Committee raised several difficulties at the grassroots level; and made some suggestions and proposals related to the planned allocation of candidates for the 15th National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council according to electoral units and the budget for the election.

Focus on directing activities at the grassroots level.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee - emphasized: In the coming period, the election process will enter its peak, final stage, which will determine the success of the election.

Therefore, we suggest that the membersProvincial Election CommitteeFocus intensely on directing work in assigned areas and localities; promptly grasp the situation and guide grassroots units, especially in areas showing signs of complacency, lack of focus, and insufficient grasp of tasks, in order to rectify the situation.

Some opinions suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province should issue a directive guiding Fatherland Front committees at all levels to organize election campaign conferences for candidates in a serious, democratic, equal, and lawful manner.

In the coming period, propaganda efforts need to be more focused, diverse in form, and increase the time allocated to disseminating information about the rights and obligations of voters; the standards for elected representatives; and the electoral procedures… At the same time, attention should be paid to resolving complaints and denunciations from citizens; and ensuring security, order, and social safety.
