Nghe An establishes a Steering Committee to oversee 12 key projects.
In Decision No. 291-QD/TU dated December 17, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee established the Steering Committee for key projects and works in Nghe An province, chaired by the Provincial Party Secretary.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee serves as the Standing Deputy Head; the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front serves as the Deputy Head.
The Steering Committee members include: Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Directors of the following departments and agencies: Finance; Construction; Agriculture and Environment; Industry and Trade; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Education and Training; Southeast Economic Zone Management Board; Justice; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Police; Provincial Party Committee Office; Provincial People's Committee Office; and Party Secretaries of the communes and wards where the project is implemented.
The Steering Committee is tasked with advising and assisting the Provincial Party Standing Committee in leading and directing local authorities, departments, agencies, and units according to their functions and duties to effectively implement and ensure the progress of 12 key projects.
Among the 12 key projects, there is the Provincial Administrative Center Project and other projects including: the Vinh - Thanh Thuy Expressway Construction Project; the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Component Project (including the relocation of power lines with voltage below 110kV) in Nghe An province under the North-South High-Speed Railway Project; and the Extension of the Runway at Vinh International Airport.
The projects include: the Cua Lo Deepwater Port Construction and Operation Investment Project; the Renovation and Expansion Project of National Highway 46, Vinh - Nam Dan section, Nghe An province; the Multi-level Boarding School Project in border communes; and the Compensation, Relocation, Resettlement, and Land Clearance component of the Ban Mong Reservoir Project, phases 1 and 2.
Priority Infrastructure and Urban Development Projects Adapting to Climate Change in Vinh City (formerly), Nghe An Province; Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant Project; Industrial Park infrastructure projects in the Southeast Economic Zone (VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park Project; Tho Loc Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project Phase 1; VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park Project; Hoang Mai Industrial Park I and II Projects; WHA Industrial Zone 2 - Nghe An Project; Infrastructure Construction and Business Project for Zone B - Tho Loc Industrial Park); Cultural and Historical Tourism Area within the “Special National Monument Area of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial” in Kim Lien commune, former Nam Dan district (now Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province).
