Nghe An: Highlights of September 13th

*SOn September 13th (corresponding to the 26th day of the 7th lunar month of the Year of the Rat), a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee organized a flower and incense offering ceremony.Commemorating the 78th anniversary of his death.of General Secretary Le Hong Phong, at the memorial site in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Comrade Le Hong Phong, whose real name was Le Huy Doan, was born on September 6, 1902, in Dong village, Thong Lang commune, now Hong Phong hamlet, Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district. He quickly embraced the revolutionary cause and integrated into the patriotic workers' movement in Vinh - Ben Thuy. Comrade Le Hong Phong was an outstanding son of Nghe An province, one of President Ho Chi Minh's most excellent disciples; he was the 2nd General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

At the age of 40, with over 20 years of continuous and vigorous revolutionary activity, Comrade Le Hong Phong dedicated his entire life to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause. His life and revolutionary career will forever be a source of pride and a shining example for many generations to follow.

*Pricerice in Nghe Anthe strongest increase in 5 yearsRecently, this information has brought a breath of fresh air to farmers in the province, especially in the key rice-growing areas of Nghe An.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, Vice Chairman of the Yen Thanh District People's Committee, the district's annual rice production reaches 1.6 million tons, of which about 800,000 tons are used by the people, and the remaining 800,000 tons are supplied to the market. The rising price of rice is an advantage for farmers, providing them with additional income and investment in production.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, rice prices across the country are currently rising. The increase is due to a resurgence in rice stockpiling by importing countries. This is partly because the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be complex, while Thailand's rice production has decreased due to the effects of climate change.

At the close of trading on Friday, the price of domestic gold bars was listed at: 56.1 million VND/ounce (buying price) and 56.5 million VND/ounce (selling price), a decrease of 50,000 VND in the buying price compared to yesterday. On the world gold market, the spot gold price closed the week down 6.5 USD to 1,940.1 USD/ounce. The October gold futures contract on the Comex New York exchange fell 16.5 USD to 1,939.5 USD/ounce.
