Nghe An: Highlights of May 14th

*NOn the occasion of the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, a delegation of officials and staff from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, led by Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, visited...offering incense and flowersCommemorating President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site (Nam Dan).

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, along with several organizations and individuals, contributed and donated gifts to underprivileged students and some equipment to support teaching activities at Xuan Son Primary School (Xuan Son commune, Do Luong district). The total value of gifts and donated items was nearly 30 million VND.

*NOn May 14th, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district, stated that immediately after receiving information about the unusual death of fish in cages in Tam Thai and Xa Luong communes, the district established an inspection team and initially determined the cause.

According to Mr. Hien,causes of fish deathsThis was due to the Khe Bo Hydropower Plant implementing a water regulation plan for downstream areas during the power outage period to facilitate the connection and energization of the 220kV Tuong Duong substation, causing the water level in the Khe Bo hydropower reservoir to drop to the dead water level. Consequently, some fish cages were stranded, leading to the death of fish in some cages.

*NOn May 14th, at the Nghe An Provincial Youth Activities Center, the Provincial Youth Union organized the Final Round.Festival of Clubs of Team LeadersNghe An province, 2022.

With the theme "Proud to be a Team Leader," organized by the Provincial Youth Union Council, the competition was launched on May 5, 2022. After the preliminary round, the organizing committee selected 12 outstanding teams to compete in the final round. The 12 teams will participate in 5 sections: Confident Team Leader, Fast Camp Construction, Skillful Team Leader, Courageous Team Leader, and Team Building Games.

*SOn May 14th, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Journalists Club in Ho Chi Minh City, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association organized an event.awarding computers and scholarships.For underprivileged students who overcome difficulties at the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning.

At the handover ceremony, the Nghe An Journalists Club in Ho Chi Minh City presented computers and 150 million VND in scholarships to the Nghe An Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning. Through the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, 150 disadvantaged students with good academic achievements in the province will receive scholarships in the near future.

* COn the afternoon of May 14th, the Department of Education and Training visited.visiting and providing supportThis message is for the families of the two students from Cua Lo town who were involved in an accident and are currently receiving emergency treatment at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.

Earlier, on the morning of May 13th, two siblings, Nguyen Thi Huyen My - class 4D and Nguyen Dinh Bo Linh - class 1A (both from Nghi Hai Primary School), were being driven to school by their mother on a motorbike. Along the way, the motorbike carrying the two children unfortunately collided with a heavy truck carrying construction materials...
