Nghe An: Highlights of April 16th

*SOn April 16th, the 4th Military Region Command worked with Nghe An province to finalize the content regarding...regional defense drills, provincial civil defense exercise in 2022.

During the meeting, the Command and agencies of Military Region 4, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and relevant provincial agencies, discussed and agreed on the principles, content, time, and methods for conducting the 2022 provincial defense zone exercise and civil defense exercise, providing a basis for Nghe An to proactively deploy and carry out all preparatory work.

*SOn April 16th, the Standing Committee of the Quỳnh Lưu District Party CommitteeOrganize a competition online.Learn about "Uncle Ho's relationship with his homeland Nghe An and Quynh Luu district in studying and following his teachings".

The competition aims to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, in accordance with Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, of the Politburo (13th term) on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo (12th term) among cadres, Party members, and the entire population; and to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Quynh Luu District Party Committee (April 20, 1930 - April 20, 2022) and the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022).

*VIn the spring of 2022, the entire province planted rice on over 91,664 hectares. Recently, the weather has been unfavorable, with alternating sunshine and rain, creating favorable conditions for rice cultivation.Rice blast disease is developing and causing damage.Throughout the province, over 5,000 hectares have been affected by the disease, including more than 416 hectares severely infected and nearly 18 hectares with "leaf blight," resulting in a complete loss of yield. Therefore, local authorities are focusing on directing communes to closely monitor the fields, zone the rice paddies, and categorize the rice plants by flowering stage to organize timely preventative spraying.

*NOn April 16th, the Nghe An Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced: In the 24 hours from 6:00 PM on April 15th, 2022 to 6:00 PM on April 16th, 2022, Nghe An1054 new positive cases were recorded.with Covid-19. This includes 282 community cases.

*SAfter being missing for 9 days,The body of a man was found in Ky Son district.(Nghe An province), discovered on April 15th, in a farmer's field in Pha Danh commune, more than 30 km from the victim's home.
